Red Fabric and Glass Bottles: A Still Nature Composition
This piece is a study in contrast—both in color and texture. I was drawn to the intensity of the red fabric and how it interacts with the muted tones of the bottles and ceramic vase. The composition is simple, but I wanted each object to hold its own presence while still feeling connected through light and shadow.
Working in oil allowed me to build depth slowly, layering tones to create that soft transition between highlights and darker areas. The glass surfaces were especially interesting to paint, catching subtle reflections and adding a sense of weight and stillness to the scene.
For me, this painting is less about the objects themselves and more about atmosphere—a quiet, almost suspended moment shaped by color and form.
